Obituary

George Leicester Carson, 78, of Bayville passed away on December 19, 2019. Born in Elizabeth, NJ he lived many years in Monmouth County before settling to Ocean County 47 years ago.

George was employed with Ford Motor Co. in Linden and later for the International Longshoremen’s Labor Union working for Nat’s Trailer Repair and various other places over the years. He also was the owner and operator of a home cleaning business and a natural health products business before retiring. He was past president and member of the Toms River Jaycee’s.

George was known for his energetic one-of-a-kind personality and making people smile wherever he went. He had a life-long passion for locomotives and trains, nature, animals, music and speaking his mind. George was strong-willed and hard-working and never backed down from a challenge. He was a fiercely proud father who encouraged his children to live their lives to the fullest. He made the best tomato sandwiches in the world.

Mr. Carson is predeceased by his daughter Kelly Corazo in 2011 and by his brother Timothy P. Carson. Surviving are, his wife of 47 years, Gail Carson; his three children, Kit Carson, Julianne Carson and her partner John Harsell and Jennilyn Carson and her partner J.T. Liss; four grandchildren, John, Kristen, Brandon and Colliape Olive; sisters, Pam Hendricks and Joanne Carson. Also surviving are several great grandchildren, extended family and close friends.

A celebration of George’s life will be held on Sunday, December 22, 2019 from 2pm - 4pm at Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd, Bayville, NJ 08721.

One of a kind personality. That says it all about George. He was funny, never met anyone he didn't know and brought an energy into a room that was unsurpassed by anyone I know. Many fond memories in the Jaycees. RIP George. Thinking of you and your family Gail.
