The first Mastapeter Funeral Home was founded by P. Arthur Mastapeter in 1940 in the Peterstown section of Elizabeth, New Jersey.
P. Arthur graduated from Renaurd School of Funeral Directors in New York in 1939. He was a US Army Veteran who served in World War II and a man of many talents including construction. However, he found his true calling in serving the families of his community. He went on to open the Roselle Park funeral home in 1954 where his sons Arthur and Anthony would continue the traditions he instilled in them. He later constructed the current location in Bayville and in 1977 we officially opened for business under Anthony's direction.
P. Arthur passed away in 2001 but his legacy lives on at Mastapeter Memorial Home in Bayville where his son Anthony P. Mastapeter, the owner, works alongside his son Marc A. Mastapeter, P. Arthur’s grandson.
It is here in our Bayville home where Anthony and Marc continue to carry out the compassion and dedication to the families they serve.
