William Bowbliss

William Bowbliss, 71, of Ocean Gate, formerly of Linden, entered into eternal rest suddenly on April 10th surrounded by his loving family. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the visitation at Mastapeter Funeral Home in Bayville, NJ on Wednesday, April 19th, from 5pm-7pm. Bill’s remains will be scattered in a private event.

Born in Elizabeth, NJ, he was the son of the late Joseph Edward Bowbliss, Sr. and Sophia Pluta Bowbliss.

Lifelong resident of Linden, Bill retired from Union County Roads Department after 17 years and moved to Ocean Gate with his family. He loved crabbing, watching the Yankees and sitting on the beach with his wife of 31 years, while also house sitting for his neighbors and friends.

Mr. Bowbliss is predeceased by his brother, Joseph Jr.

Bill was the loving husband of Barbara Bowbliss. He was the beloved father of William Bowbliss, wife Carly, and Samantha Bowbliss. He is also survived by his brother Stephen Bowbliss, wife Maryann, and his dedicated caretaker, Ann Marie Hudak.

Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 from 5pm – 7pm at Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd. Bayville, NJ 08721.
