William J. Bergen, 91, of Bayville passed away on January 25, 2026, in Toms River, NJ. Born in New Brunswick, and raised in Highland Park, lived in North Brunswick before moving to Bayville 34 years ago.
He was a Union Carpenter with Local #1006 of Milltown. The Bergen family was formerly founder of the Town of Milltown over 100 years ago, which was Bergen’s Mill. William proudly served his Country in the US Army and was the starting pitcher for the Army Baseball Team. William was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Highland Park. He was an avid golfer and outdoors man. He was a devoted family man and loved to travel especially with his wife Lois.
Mr. Bergen was predeceased by his devoted wife of 48 years Lois who passed away in 2009, and his daughter Alona. Surviving is his daughter Kimberly Good and her husband Randy, and one grandson Nicholas and nephew Glenn Bergen.
Interment will be at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville, NJ 08721
