Thomas F. Lavin, 86, of Bayville passed away on March 24, 2026. Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA, he was raised in Elizabeth, before moving to Winfield Park and later retiring in Bayville, NJ. He worked in the banking industry for many years and retired in 2004. Thomas was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Rahway and Bayville. He loved hunting and fishing and was an avid collector.
Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Catherine (Reiss) Lavin, his brother Fredrick Lavin, sister Anne (Lavin) LaBrutto and beloved Aunt Helen McGovern Lavin.
Surviving is his loving wife of over 64 years Rosemary (Zambell) Lavin, his four children Thomas Lavin and wife Susan, Kelley Derricott and husband Glenn, Colleen Carraccio and husband Steven and Christopher Lavin and wife Dianne. Also, nine grandchildren Shannon, Chelsea, Gabrielle, Vincent, Thomas, Michael, Colin, Rocco and Tyler, and four great-grandchildren Rose, Anna, Luca and Nico, along with his nephews and nieces and many extended family and friends.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 11:00am at St. Barnabas Church, 33 Woodland Road, Bayville.
