Thomas M. Haiber passed away on June 18, 2024, at the age of 58. Tommy was born in Mineola, NY on June 11, 1966, and grew up in Westfield, NJ. It was at Westfield High School that he met Ilene Jacobson, the love of his life. Tommy and Ilene raised their three daughters in Shrewsbury, NJ before settling in Bayville, NJ in 2020.
Tommy worked many years at the family business, Dunkin Donuts in Piscataway, NJ. In 1994, Tommy got his electrician license and began his career as an electrical contractor. He started his own business, Haiber Electric Co and took great pride in the work he did. He was a lifelong Giants fan and had a passion for music: he was self-taught on guitar and loved to share his favorite music with his daughters. Tommy also loved to be out on the water, where he spent time fishing and bringing his loved ones out for a sunset cruise on his boat. Tommy was a quiet man but could light up a room with just his smile and kind face. He was a good man, compassionate husband, and devoted father to his three daughters.
Tommy was predeceased by his parents Raymond and Elizabeth Haiber. Surviving is his wife Ilene and their three daughters, Jordan, Nicole, and Kaley; his siblings, Karen, Raymond, and Marybeth; his nephews and niece, Nicholas, Ryan, Andrew, Joey, and Rachel; his in-laws, Ronald and Susan; and his special buddy Newty the cat.
A memorial service for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, from 4pm - 6pm at Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd, Bayville, NJ 08721. In lieu of flowers please send donations to "Save Barnegat Bay" https://savebarnegatbay.org/
