Stephen M. George

Stephen M. George, 72, of Ocean Gate passed away on July 22, 2024.  Born in Sewickley, PA he lived many years in Pennsylvania, Ohio and New Jersey throughout his life before settling in Ocean County where he married his wife, Jean. He worked many years as a truck driver for CPI packaging Corp. After he retired he worked for Pine Belt Nissan with his daughter. He enjoyed working with everyone and staying busy. He has always been a loyal Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed watching NASCAR. He enjoyed spending time with his children, taking them to the beach and playing video games. He continued this enjoyment with his grandson, his little buddy. He also enjoyed his yearly vacation with his wife to Shenandoah national park and cooking holiday meals.

Mr. George is predeceased by his parents Louis and Geneva and by his siblings Elaine and Butch.

Surviving is his wife of 45 years, Jean, his daughter Stephanie and partner Mike, his son Michael and husband Ryan, his beloved grandson Cody, his siblings Nancy, Dennis and Jessica. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

Viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Boulevard Bayville, NJ 08721. Entombment will immediately follow at Whiting Memorial Park in Whiting.
