Shannon M. Helstowski, 47, of Bayville passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 17, 2024. Born in Toms River, she was raised in Bayville and lived here all her life. Shannon loved music and was a true animal lover who always had a dog or two by her side.  She had been predeceased by her mother, Maria Helstowski, by her maternal grandfather, Joseph Fernandes and paternal grandmother, Susan Salerno.

Surviving are her father Butch Helstowski, her maternal grandmother Natalie Fernandes, her three brothers, John Helstowski and his wife Kathleen, Joe Helstowski, and Dean Helstowski and his wife Sheila. She is also survived by her nephews Justin Helstowski, Dean Helstowski and Jared Helstowski, and niece Alyssa McLafferty and husband Michael, and two great-nieces Kaia and Shay, along with her dear aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

A Memorial Gathering for relatives and friends will be offered on Thursday, March 21st, from 3pm to 6pm, with a Prayer Service at 5:30pm, in the Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville. In lieu of flowers, donations in Shannon’s memory to: Popcorn Park Zoo (ahscares.org), would be appreciated.
