Salvatore J. Celauro Sr.

Salvatore J. Celauro Sr., 62, of Barnegat, NJ passed away on February 10, 2026. Born and raised in Jersey City, NJ. He then moved to Bayville, NJ in 1979 and has resided here ever since. Mr. Celauro was a self-employed Carpenter working with wood all his life. Sal was an avid fisherman; he enjoyed family time especially back yard BBQ’s and family gatherings. He also enjoyed gardening and boating on The Barnegat Bay. 

He is predeceased by his parents Joe and Mary, his brother Sonny, stepdaughter Cassey and his former companion Cherie. Surviving are four children, Elizabeth Pettersen, Michael Celauro and his wife Samantha, Salvator Celauro Jr., and Ashlee Matern, thirteen grandchildren, his companion MaryBeth Martinez, six siblings, Ginny, Lizzy, Josie, Joey, Frank and JoAnne, and many nieces and nephews.  

A memorial gathering for relatives and friends will be offered on Sunday, February 15, 2026, from 1:00-3:00pm at Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville, NJ 08721.
