Rudolf S. Padakowski, 79, of Toms River, died peacefully with his loving family at his bedside. Born and raised in New York City, he moved to Brick then resided in Toms River in 1977. Mr. Padakowski was a trucker all his working life. He was a long-standing member of the Teamster Local Union No. 560 of New York. He retired in 2013. His favorite place to be was in his backyard cooking up a storm on the grill and enjoying a few beers with family and friends. He devoted himself as a caregiver to his beloved wife Lucille, who passed away in 2010. He was also predeceased by his son Stanley in 2013.
Surviving are his three children; Mae Borkowski, Melissa Wilson and Anthony Padakowski and his wife Carla; sixteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and his two siblings, Sue Bonura and her husband Joe and Eugene Padakowski and his wife Dolores, also, many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
A Life Celebration will be held on May 29th from 11:00 am to 1 pm, at the Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville. Interment of his cremains will follow to St Joseph Cemetery in Toms.
