Obituary

Robert E. McLaughlin, 89, of Bayville, NJ passed away December 30, 2021.  Born and raised in Elizabeth he later settled to Bayville 28 years ago. Robert proudly served his country in the US Army. He was employed as a manager at International Flavors and Fragrances working in New York City and Union Beach, NJ for 40 years before retiring.  During retirement he volunteered his time at both the Bayville Public Library and St. Barnabas Gift & Thrift Shop.  He enjoyed playing golf but most of all he cherished his time spent with his family.

Mr. McLaughlin is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Blanche McLaughlin; his 3 children Kelly DePasquale and her husband Bob, Patricia Novoa and her husband Nelson and Robert McLaughlin and his wife Charlene; his 7 grandchildren Joseph, Steven, Nicole, Nicholas, Gina, Andrew and Robert; his sister Mary Jane Faver; and many extended family members and friends. 

Viewing will be Tuesday, January 4, 2022 from 2pm – 6pm at Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd. Bayville, NJ 08721.  Funeral will be Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at 9:30am in the funeral home before leaving to celebrate an 11am Funeral Mass at St. Barnabas Church in Bayville.  Entombment at St. Joseph Cemetery will immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, donations made to Sloan Kettering at www.mskcc.org would be greatly appreciated.
