Robert Kiefer

Robert Kiefer, 59, beloved father and adoring husband passed suddenly on November 16th, 2022. Raised in Linden, NJ by his parents Joseph M. Kiefer, Sr. and Gisela E. Langhans. As a youth Robert played football for Linden High School, and had jobs as a landscaper and a carpenter. Robert began his career as a Senior Correctional Officer at Rahway State Prison until retiring in 2014 after 29 years of service. After retirement he enjoyed his employment at Pinebelt Cadillac. It was at his career at D.O.C. where he caught the eye of Beverly (Mapps) Kiefer. Robert was captivated by Beverly’s beauty and strength and committed to be by her side for the rest of his life. Robert and Beverly raised 5 children: Thomas Kiefer, Katelyn Klein, Matthew Kiefer, Hanna Kiefer and Daniel Roman. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Please know that he loved each and every one of you. Many lives were touched by Robert as he was an excellent mentor, a role model, a caring brother, a supportive uncle, an adoring husband and a loving father/grandfather/godfather. He was a respected coach and a pillar in the community.

He is survived by his wife Beverly. His children and their spouses:Thomas Kiefer, and his fiancé Julie, Katelyn Klein, and her fiancé Jonathan, Matthew Kiefer, and his partner Victoria, Hanna Kiefer, and her partner Raymond, Daniel Roman, and his partner Makayla. His grandchild: Olivia Klein, His siblings: Joanne O’Brien, and her partner Jim, Joseph Kiefer, Jr., and his wife Kris, and sister, Carol Guervarez, Brother in law: David Rinz, Nieces and nephews: Jonathan, Michael, Katie, Paige, Anthony, Elizabeth, Ryan and Rebecca, and  Grandniece: Quinn

Predeceased by his mother and father Joseph M. Kiefer, Sr. and Gisela E. Langhans, Stepfather: Stephen Pirkowski,and Sister Karen Rinz.

There will be a viewing for Robert on Monday, November 21, 2022 from 3pm-7pm at Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd, Bayville, NJ 08721. The funeral will be Tuesday, November 22nd at 11am at St. Gertrude Cemetery in Colonia, NJ.
