Robert (Bob) John Bakay, 84, passed away peacefully on March 28th at his home in Bayville, NJ surrounded by his family. Bob worked on the Garden State Parkway for over 30 years and has been enjoying retirement spending time with his loving wife of over 55 years Honey, traveling all over the country and world. He also loved spending time with his son Ron, daughter in-law Nicole, and grandsons Bobby and Nicky, going to Boston and going to Red Sox games and his favorite place Quincy Market. He was more than just a loving husband, father and grandfather, he was a best friend to everyone that knew him and he always made everyone around him laugh and feel better.
He is survived by his strong and loving wife that was by his side for over 55 years Fran (Honey) Bakay, his son and best friend Ron Bakay, his loving daughter in-law Nicole Bakay, and his two grandsons whom he loved, Bobby and Nicky. As per Bob’s request, no services will be held.
