Coping with Grief

Robert Andrews, 81, of Bayville, died peacefully at home with his loving family at his side. Born in Rahway he was raised in Cranford, then lived in Sayreville before settling to Bayville in 1994. Mr. Andrews proudly served his country in the US Air Force as a pilot. After serving for 12 years in the military, Robert then became a truck driver for Channel and Rickles Home stores in North Jersey. When he moved to Bayville, he was custodian with Central Regional High School, retiring after 25 years there. He continued to serve his country and communities as a Civil Air Patrolman, flying a Piper Cub airplane protecting the shores and coastlines on the east coast. He enjoyed working on cars, his model car collection and traveling the US and abroad. He was predeceased by his grandson Louis in 2019.
Surviving are his wife Sandra; two children, Sherry Parmley and her husband Kris and James Sperber and his wife Debra; six grandchildren, Amanda, Travis, Kasey, Austin, Karissa and Madison; six great grandchildren, Lina, Richard, Alice, Violet, James and Sophie; his brother Jerry Andrews and his wife Cindy, also his two nephews, Michael and Philip.
A Memorial Gathering for relatives and friends will be offered on Saturday, April 25th, from 12noon to 2pm at the Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville. IN LIEU of FLOWERS, donations in Robert’s memory to: Tunnels to Towers (https://t2t.org/donate), would be appreciated.
