Rita "DiCaprio" Gervasini

Rita “DiCaprio” Gervasini, 87, of Lanoka Harbor died on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Palermo Italy, her family settled to Yonkers, New York when she was 12. She was a 1951 graduate of Commerce High School in Yonkers and was proud of being voted “best dressed’. She then moved to Lacey Township to raise her family and has lived here for over 50 years. Mrs. Gervasini worked in the clothing industry and had been manager and operator of the Haband Clothing store in Bayville for many years before closing in the early 90’s. She had been predeceased by her husband Alfred in 2017.

Surviving are her five children; Anthony Gervasini and his wife Pattie, MaryEllen (Missy) Gervasini, Mark Gervasini, Paul Gervasini and his wife Eva and Joe Gervasini and his wife Denise. Also surviving are sixteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren. Her brother Anthony DiCaprio and his wife Melanie and her cousin Olga Biele also her brother-in-law Richard Gervasini and his wife Susan.

Visiting hours will be 4pm to 7pm on Wednesday, July21, 2021 at the Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville. Funeral is Thursday, 9am at the funeral home before celebrating an 11am Funeral Mass at St. Mary Church in Barnegat.
