Richard "Dick" Rainey, 73, passed away peacefully in his home Dec 6th. Born in South Toms River, Richard, who was known to his friends and family as "Dick" attended Saint Joseph Grade School and was a graduate of Toms River High School class of '66. After high school, he served in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War. Dick then had a successful roofing and siding business. He later moved to Bayville where he was a bartender and lifetime member at VFW post 9503 for over 30 years. Dick is survived by his longtime girlfriend Joyce Healy, his daughter Brienne Sullivan, his step-daughter Stacey Jeffers, two grandsons and several cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 13, 2021, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville, NJ 08721. Burial will take place on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at 11am at the B.G.W.C.D. Veteran's Memorial Cemetery.
