It is with a heavy heart to announce the unexpected passing of Richard John Skowronski Jr. of Bayville, NJ, he was born in Jersey City. He passed away on Monday, May 30th, 2022, at the age of 63. He is predeceased by his parents Richard and Margaret Skowronski. Rich is survived by his loving wife of 35 years Diane Skowronski along with his loving daughter Theresa Skowronski, son Richard, daughter-in-law Jena Skowronski, and his sweet grandson Mason Richard. Also surviving are his two sisters Karen Trumper (Rich Trumper) and Kathleen Helstowski (John Helstowski) and many nieces, nephews and loving friends. Rich loved spending time with his family which included cruises around the Caribbean, camping in Cherrystone, crabbing with anyone who was up for it and cheering on the NY Giants and NY Mets. He was the comedian of the family who will be dearly missed and now there’s a bit less laughter in the world. "Green grass and high tides forever."
Visiting hours will be Thursday, June 2, 2022, from 4-7pm at Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd, Bayville, NJ 08721. Friday, the funeral will be private with the family. In lieu of flowers contributions in Richard's name to the Bayville First Aid Department, (bayvillefas.org), or the Children's Specialized Hospital Long Term Care Center, 150 New Providence Road, Mountainside NJ 07092, (rwjbh.org), would be appreciated.
