Richard Pereira Obituary

Richard W. Pereira, Jr., 26, of Waretown, passed away tragically on January 28, 2017. He was born in Toms River, NJ and lived most of his life in Waretown. He graduated from Southern Regional High School, then went on to graduate from OCTVS in 2008. He was employed with Ted's Well Service in Bayville as a Well Driller and an Expert Technician for many years. Richard was a talented artist and an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed his 4x4's and ATV's and especially loved to hunt and fish. Richard is predeceased by his maternal grandfather Kenneth W. Stein, his aunt Kathleen Lang and his two uncle's, Thomas Lang and David Strucek. Surviving are his parents Richard, Sr. and Kimberly Pereira; his siblings Elizabeth Pereira and Nicholas Pereira; his girlfriend Brianna Stafford; his grandparents Manuel and Lucille Pereira and grandmother Lois Putnam and her husband David; his aunts and uncles, Jeff and Kim Pereira, Lori and Thomas Arnold, Joy and Stan Barbe and Christian C. and Kathleen Stein; his godfather Manny Pereira and godmother Karolyn Scaranda. Also surviving are many loving cousins, extended family and friends. Viewing will be Wednesday, February 1, 2017 from 2pm - 4pm & 7pm - 9pm at the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd. Bayville, NJ 08721. Funeral will be held on Thursday Feb. 2nd at 10:30am in the funeral home, before leaving to celebrate a 12:00PM Funeral Mass at Saint Mary Church in Barnegat. Burial will follow to Reevestown Cemetery in Barnegat. In lieu of flowers donations in Richard's Memory to: Hunt of a Lifetime at www.huntofalifetime.org or Ocean of Love at www.oceanoflove.org would be greatly appreciated.
