Richard P. Citro, Jr., of Bayville, died peacefully on February 26, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Elizabeth, he lived in Palisades Park and in Ridgefield, before moving to Bayville 16 years ago. Mr. Citro was a forklift operator at Costco Corporation for 20 years retiring from the Manahawkin facility. Richard was very active in the Ridgefield Volunteer Fire Department and member the Fireman’s Exempt Organization and driver of Engine #3. If you couldn’t find Richard, being an avid fisherman, you would find him with his pole in the water somewhere. He was predeceased by his father Richard and by his father-in-law, John Bower.
Surviving is his devoted wife, Vickey and his two cherished children, Connor and Logan. Also surviving is his mother, Patricia Citro; his brother Christopher Citro and his wife Natalka; his mother-in-law Margaret Brower and his sister-in-law Maggie Brower.
Visiting hours will be Thursday, March 3rd, from 4pm to 8pm at the Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville. A Prayer Service will be offered on Thursday at 7:30pm in the funeral home. Burial is Friday, gathering at the funeral home 10am before leaving for St. Joseph Cemetery in Toms River.
