Raymond J Schneider, 90 of Bayville, NJ passed into eternal rest Monday, May 1, 2023, at Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center, New Brunswick, NJ. He was born in Newark and grew up in Irvington. After raising his family in Maplewood, he moved to Bayville after his beloved wife Lynn passed away in 2000. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed living in an adult community and the many parties and activities at the Clubhouse. He could be found playing pool or competing in a Bocce tournament. He was a member of the Shark River Surf Anglers and enjoyed the yearly Kids Trout Tournament at Spring Lake. He loved fishing and hunting his entire life and spent much of his free time doing so with his best friend Wally Bycsek and son David. He also enjoyed cooking and spending time with his three girls and their families. He worked in sporting goods sales all of his life for a few companies, Northwestern Golf and Hermans to name a few.
Ray was predeceased by his wife Lynn his parents John and Sabina, his brother Donald and his sister Eleanor Sautter.
Surviving are his three beloved daughters Vickie Keller and her husband Kevin, Suzanne Reed and her husband Frank and Nancy Masterson (widowed). His grandchildren Christopher, Emily and Jesse. Step-grandchild Daniel. Great grandchildren Christopher & Everleigh. Step grandchildren Sofia, Lincoln and Myles.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 9, 2023, from 3-7 pm at the Mastapeter Memorial Home, Inc. 270 Atlantic City Blvd, Bayville, NJ 08721 https://mastapetermemorialhome.com/.
