Raymond A. Johnston , 76 of Lanoka Harbor, NJ.
Passed away peacefully in his home with his wife on 5/26/25.
Born in Bayonne, NJ and lived many years in Bainbridge-Guilford NY and New Jersey.
He served in the U.S. Navy earning an honorable discharge and retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 30 years.
He was an avid car enthusiast, member of the local VFW, Elks Lodge and the Sentimental Cruisers car club. He enjoyed playing the guitar, attending car shows and working on cars. He mostly enjoyed time spent with his wife, children and grandchildren….in and with cars.
He is predeceased by his parents, Rose and Bud.
Survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Abbie; his son, Raymond M (Kara), daughter Rebecca A., Granddaughters; Miranda, Lexie, Lindsay, Elizabeth and Grandson Patrick. His younger siblings; Tommy (Dawn), Bobby, Donna, Linda and Billy (Karen); many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
A service for family and friends will be held on 5/31 from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM at Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville, NJ 08721. In lieu of flowers donations in Raymond's name to the American Stroke Foundation, would be greatly appreciated.
