Priscilla Finamore

Priscilla Finamore, 90, of Bayville, died peacefully on May 26, 2023, at her home with her loving family at her side. Born and raised in Brooklyn, she lived many years in Queens before moving to Bayville in the early 90’s. Priscilla was an executive secretary for Irving Trust Company in New York City for many years before moving to New Jersey. Here she was very active in her Sonata Bay Community and an active parishioner at St. Barnabas Church where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and member of their Altar Rosary Society. She had been predeceased by her first husband, Charles Sgammato, her parents James and Florence Ciaramella, her brother Dan and sister-in-law Phyllis.

Surviving are, her husband Joseph Finamore; her two children, Philip Sgammato and his wife Lorraine and James Sgammato and his wife Maria; five grandchildren, Anthony Sgammato and his wife Coleen, Michael Sgammato and his wife Christine, Charles Sgammato and his wife Raquel, Thomas Sgammato and girlfriend Marisa and Daniel Sgammato and his wife Emily; seven great grandchildren; her step children, Karen Durso and her husband Peter, Joseph Finamore and his wife Cheryl and Mark Finamore and his wife AnnMarie; also nine step grandchildren and five step great grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be Wednesday, May 31st, from 2pm to 6pm at the Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville. Funeral Thursday, 8:30am at the funeral home before celebrating a 9:30am Funeral Mass at ST. Barnabas Church, 33 Woodland Rd., Bayville. Entombment will follow to St. John Cemetery, Middle Village Queens, NY. Donations in Priscilla’s memory to: St. Barnabas Church or a charity of your choice, would be greatly appreciated.
