Peter Martin was born on August 22, 1970 and passed away peacefully on July 23, 2021. He grew up in Bayville, NJ and graduated from Central Regional High School in 1988. Pete was passionate about the game of hockey. He was a skilled hockey player and extended his love for the sport into coaching. Pete was a well-respected hockey coach for Donovan Catholic High School.
He started working at Winding River Skating Center at age 16. He was also a huge Philadelphia Flyers fan and never missed watching a game. Pete also was a fanatical Philadelphia Phillies fan and Jets fan. He loved music and playing guitar. Pete was one of the biggest Grateful Dead fans anyone could ever meet and was a member of several Grateful Dead cover bands. He also travelled the country following the band. Pete also enjoyed the beach, was an avid surfer and an animal lover. To those who knew him well, he will always be remembered for his kind heart and giving soul; he was always ready to lend a helping hand to those around him.
Pete is survived by his wife Jackie, his parents Phyllis and Ray, his sister Danielle Del Sordo and her husband Jerry, his nieces Caitlyn and Addison and his nephew Brayden.
A private Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held to honor Pete’s memory.
