Patrick Joseph O'Neill

Patrick Joseph O'Neill passed away suddenly on March, 11 2023 in Marco Island, Florida. 

Patrick was born in Newark, New Jersey and attended Essex Catholic and Newark College of Engineering NJIT and received his degree in mechanical engineering. He worked all his career for Carrier Raytheon United Technologies. He was a member of the ASHRAE professional organization. He was a member of Saint Barnabas, helping many years for Saint Vincent De Paul handing out Thanksgiving baskets and Christmas Gifts. He was also a member of Theta Chi, serving as vice president. He also was a member of the beach and boardwalk committee of Ocean Gate and a Softball Coach to his girls and community.

He was a wonderful father, husband, brother and was about to celebrate his 50th anniversary with his loving wife Jeanne (McKiddie) O'Neill. He leaves his two wonderful daughters, Heather Jean O'Neill Haoujar and her husband Mohammed Haoujar, and Katie Patricia O'Neill and her partner Evan. He leaves his adoring grandchildren Hiba Grace and Joseph O'Neill Haoujar. Also leaving his three brothers Sean (wife Louann), Kevin (wife Lilla), Dennis (wife Debbie), and his sister Kathleen (Arnold her partner) and sister-in-law Rosemary O'Neill. Dear brother in law George Balboa and sister in law Tina O'Neill. Also leaving three god children, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and dear cousins. Remembering the predeceased Dorothy and Albert, his loving parents, and Albert Jr., Brian, Rita and Maureen, his loving siblings.

He was a true 'Irish Gentleman', a loyal Giants fan and was a great friend to all. He could fix anything and help anyone in need. He enjoyed fishing and boating. He was a patriarch to his big Irish family and will surely be missed. Our memorial will be held at a later date.

Please give a toast and think of many jokes and stories he would tell. Donations can be sent to Saint Jude Memorial Foundation. In honor of Patrick a celebration of life memorial service will be held at Mastapeter Memorial Home in Bayville, New Jersey at a future date to be determined.
