Patricia E Petracca

It is with profound sadness that the Petracca family announces the passing of Patricia (Pat) aged 79 years on February 14th, 2025, surrounded by her family. Pat leaves behind husband John, children David, Stacey (Simone) and Leanne, son in law, Joseph (Simone), grandchildren John and Sophie (Moody) and Gianna and Vito Simone. Pat was predeceased by her parents Peter and Victoria Avallone and her brother Peter.

Pat had the kindest and most thoughtful soul. Her beautiful heart invited love and captured everyone she met. She loved and supported her family with every fiber of her being and her grandchildren were the very air that she breathed. Our family's loss leaves a void that can never be filled.

In our darkest days we will remember her incredible humor and adventurous being. Her love of life, compassion and influence will be carried with us forever.

Pat was born and raised in Essex County, New Jersey, until marrying the love of her life and best friend John in 1970 and moving to Orange. Two years later Pat and John moved to Ocean County where they settled and raised their family for the past 52 years. Pat was a bus driver for Toms River Regional School District for 25 years and after retirement immersed herself in her grandchildren, attending every sporting event and concert. She was their biggest cheerleader. Pat gave back to her community by certifying her beloved English Setter Tess as a therapy dog and visiting local nursing homes to provide comfort and companionship to seniors. Pat loved to travel, spend time with her friends and embraced every opportunity to experience life to the fullest. She will be missed more than words can express.

There will be no public service. A celebration of life will be held for family and friends sometime during the summer. Date to be determined.
