Nicholas (Nick) M. Ippolito, 44, of Bayville, NJ, passed away suddenly on May 2, 2026 surrounded by loved ones, after a short battle with a rare autoimmune disease.
He was born in Toms River, NJ and lived his whole life in Bayville. He worked as a Respiratory Therapist at Community Medical Center, where he was highly knowledgeable, loved and respected by anyone who had the opportunity to work alongside him.
He enjoyed playing golf, snowboarding and was a huge Giants fan. He loved spending his free time at the beach with his family, especially Seaside, where he had many memories of his own childhood.
Surviving is his wife Michelle and two children, Vincent and Charlotte Ippolito; father Martin Ippolito; aunt Judy (husband Ed) Scarillo; cousin EJ Scarillo; parents-in-law, Timothy and Deborah Trettel; sister-in-law Kathy (Travis) Horton, brother-in-law Tim (Linsey) Trettel, his nieces Lina, Sadie, Lailah and Eliana; and countless friends. Nick was predeceased by his mother, Mindy Ippolito.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, May 11, 2026 from 4:00-8:00pm and Tuesday May 12, 2026 from 10:00-11:00am at Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville, NJ 08740.
Tuesday May 12, 2026 a celebration of life will be held at The Park Pavilion, Seaside Park, later in the afternoon. Beachy casual attire is welcome. Please feel free to wear light colors, floral prints, linen, sundresses, or other comfortable clothing suitable for celebrating his life and sharing his memory.
A private family burial will be held at a later date.
