Michael Joseph Stetsko, 72, of Lanoka Harbor entered eternal peace on June 19, 2023
surrounded by his family. Michael was the son of the late Michael F. and Jennie Stetsko of Port Reading, NJ. He is also predeceased by his father-in-law Antonio Rossi.
Michael joined the USAF and was a career military man serving in the Vietnam War.
The pride and joy of his life were his sons Michael and Vincent. He was involved and active in every aspect of their lives; Beachwood Pine Beach Little League, Berkeley basketball, TRHSS baseball, football, track and field, as well as Ramapo College baseball and Rowan University football. Whether coaching, working an event, fundraising, pacing back and forth, gently giving advice, cheering, talking, or sitting quietly gleaming with pride, he was always there.
Michael also enjoyed vacationing with his family. God gave him the strength to do just that in July, having a very special family vacation. Michael's heart was complete when his grandchildren Theodore and Amelia were born. He cherished each, and every precious moment he was with his grand babies. He was the best "Pop" ever.
Michael leaves behind his wife, Susan Rossi-Stetsko, two sons Michael of Lanoka Harbor, Vincent and his wife Sarah of Toms River and his grandchildren Theodore and Amelia Stetsko. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Josephine Rossi, his uncle Donato Alfonso, a brother in-law and sister-in-law Ralph and Maria Rossi, his nephew and godson Anthony Rossi, along with a host of many other loving family members and friends.
Michael will be tremendously missed by his family. May God keep him safe in His arms until we meet him again. We will always love you Michael.
A viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday, June 23, 2023 from 4pm – 7pm at Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd. Bayville, NJ 08721. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, June 24th at 9:30am at St. Barnabas Roman Catholic Church in Bayville. Entombment will follow at Ocean County Memorial Park in Toms River.
