Michael Anthony Kelly Obituary

Michael Anthony Kelly, 36, of Bayville, New Jersey, passed away far too soon on June 12, 2026.

Born in Toms River, New Jersey, Michael was a lifelong resident of Bayville. He graduated summa cum laude from Kean University with a degree in Accounting and was employed by Gaming Laboratories International.

Michael was a devoted son, proud father, cherished brother, and loyal friend. He had a remarkable ability to make everyone around him feel welcome, valued, and appreciated. Family was the center of his world, and some of his happiest moments were spent surrounded by those he loved most.

An avid sports fan, Michael was a dedicated supporter of the New York Giants and the New York Yankees. He never turned down an opportunity to gather with family and friends—especially his beloved cousins—to celebrate life’s moments or to lend a helping hand to someone in need. His laughter filled every room that he entered, and his gift for bringing people together created countless memories that will be treasured forever.

Michael was always ready for an adventure, a good prank, a celebration, or to simply spend quality time with the people he loved. His kindness, generosity, and unwavering loyalty touched the lives of many. Above all, he treasured the time he spent with his son, Francis. Whether they were visiting the park, playing games, enjoying the outdoors together, or simply reading a book, those moments brought Michael immense joy and were among his most cherished.

Michael was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Mario and Eileen DeLuisi; his paternal grandparents, John and Phyllis Kelly; his uncle, Johnny DeLuisi; and his aunt and uncle, Anita and Fred Cataldo.

He is survived by his loving parents, Edward and Sandra Kelly; his sister, Christina Kelly, and her wife, Trish Colman; his brother, Joseph Kelly; his niece, Ella; and his beloved son, Francis. He also leaves behind countless aunts, uncles, godson, Henry, cousins, and many dear friends, especially his close friends Daniel Bender, Maria Fernicola and Katie Port, as well as many others whose lives were enriched by his friendship.

Michael’s love, laughter, and generous spirit will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Michael’s name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. www.stjude.org
