Michael J. Fischer

Michael J. Fischer, 51, of Durham NC, formerly of Pine Beach passed away on March 20, 2024, and was a shock to his family and friends. He left the years of pain and suffering behind him in the world after years of struggling with heart problems. His one goal at the end was to return home to his family. After months in the hospital, he was able to accomplish that even if only for a week. His love of automobiles, upholstery work, sports and above all cooking as a passion was always evident. His father always felt that he should have been a Chef.  

Michael is predeceased by his grandparents and his Aunt Karen.  Leaving behind his wife Jill M. Fischer, his two sons, Rayce M. Fischer, and Charles Riley Fischer, parents Charles E. and Ruth A. Fischer, and many who have always cared. Our hearts are broken.  

A celebration of life expected to be in the future. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Heart Association in Michael’s name.
