Matthew M. Lacko Sr., 79, of Jackson, NJ passed away suddenly and peacefully on November 1, 2025. Born and raised in South Amboy, NJ he has been a resident for the past 50 years when returning from Military service. Mr. Lacko was a warehouseman for Supermarket General Food Distribution Center in Woodbridge for many years. He also had positions as a crane operator and logistics. Matthew proudly served his country in the US Army in the Vietnam War. He continued his service in the Army Reserves for a total of 25 years of Military Service.
He is predeceased by his beloved wife of 53 years Margaret recently passing May of this past year. Surviving are two sons, Matthew Lacko Jr., and his wife Emily, and Paul Lacko, two siblings Ronald Lacko and John Lacko, and his wife Rosemary and his nephew John Lacko Jr.
Visiting hours for family and friends will be Thursday, November 6, 2025, from 6:00-8:00pm with a prayer service at 7:00pm at Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville, NJ 08721. Funeral Friday November 7, 2025, at 8:00am at the Funeral Home before leaving before the burial with Military Honors at NJ Veterans Cemetery Arneytown, NJ at 9:30am, 350 Province Line, Rd. Wrightstown, NJ 08562.
