Maryann Thoma, 75, of Bayville, died peacefully on Saturday, December 25, 2021 at home with her loving family at her bedside. Born in Newark, she was raised in Belleville. She moved to Beachwood before settling to Bayville in 1966. Mrs. Thoma was Cafeteria Manager for Berkeley Township Board of Education, serving the children for over 26 years. Maryann had a true passion to also serve the people of her community in Bayville. She was a Life Member and Treasurer of the Bayville First Squad. There, she and her husband Bill had dedicated their lives with emergency response to people in need. Maryann also enjoyed her second home; Lake of the Woods campgrounds in Narvon Pennsylvania
Surviving is her husband of 56 years, Bill; three children, William III and his wife Doreen, Wendy Yeager and her husband Areven and Kim Crevier and her husband Gary; six grandchildren, Ashley, Amber, Areven, Kelly, Jake and Owen; two great grandchildren, Skylar and Bentley and her sister Judy Tiplady and was predeceased by her brother Edward Black.
Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, Dec. 29th from 3pm to 7pm at the Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville. A Prayer Service and First Aid Squad Honors will be offered at 6:30pm in the funeral home.
