Martin W. Pavlinec, 80, Beloved husband, father, grandfather, twin brother and friend, died suddenly on December 30, 2022. Born in Manhattan, by the parents of John Pavlinec and Katerina “Katherine” Machel, Martin grew up in the Bronx and then raised his family in Paramus for 26 years before moving to Bayville in 2000. Mr. Pavlinec was a Union Member for over 35 years with Glaziers Union Local #235 of New Jersey which merged with New York Glaziers Union before he retired. Martin had many talents: He was the go-to guy to build or fix anything and always there to eagerly lend a helping hand. He worked “with his hands, and his head, and his heart.” He loved history and watching the History Channel. He was also a classic film enthusiast. He was an avid fisherman, fishing whenever he could. His competitive spirit came out in a good old fashion game of pool.
Martin was predeceased by his only daughter Dawn Marie, both his twin sisters, Ann and Katherine and his brother John. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Margaret; three sons, Martin and his partner Anna, John and his wife Sherry and Kenneth and his wife Claire. Also surviving are his four grandchildren, Christopher, Jack, Alexis and Luc; his twin brother Stephen and his wife Rosann.
Visiting hours will be Thursday, Jan. 5th , from 2pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm at the Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville. Funeral Friday, 10am at the funeral home before celebrating a 11am Funeral Mass at St. Barnabas Church, 33 Woodland Rd., Bayville. Burial will follow to Christ the King Cemetery in Franklin Lakes.
