Marie E. Murphy

Marie E. Murphy, 86, of Beachwood passed away on October 31, 2023. Born and raised in Jersey City Marie lived for many years in Oceanside California, before settling to Beachwood, NJ.  She was employed with Jersey City State College, as an administrator, then worked as a  Superior Court Clerk for Hudson County then later as a Civilian  Administrator at Camp Pendleton for the US Navy.

Marie enjoyed traveling extensively throughout the US and Europe. She was a history buff and artist who enjoyed watercolor and water painting. She was a proud member of the Beachwood Library Society in Beachwood.

Predeceased by her husband Robert Murphy in 1992, and her five siblings, Donald, Irving, Edward, William and Shiela. Surviving are her four children Bobby Murphy, Helen Murphy, William Murphy and his wife Dee and Jean Murphy; her grandchildren Peter, Tara, Reece, Bobby, Jacquie, Erin, Dillon, Ryan, and Trevor. Also surviving are many great grandchildren, siblings, extended family and friends.

Viewing will be for Sunday November 12, 2023 from 2-4pm at Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville, NJ 08721. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marie's memory can be made to the Beachwood Library.
