Lyn Kestner

Lyn Kestner (Slim) passed away at the age of 58 at his home in Tom’s River, NJ on April 24th, 2021.  He grew up in Bayville, NJ where he made many lifelong friends.  He graduated as an Honor Roll student from Central Regional High School where he played football, baseball and was a member of the school band.  He was a passionate and talented guitarist from an early age and began playing gigs throughout NY and NJ as a teenager.  He was a lifelong surfer who enjoyed spending time outdoors.

 Later in life he became a skilled photographer focusing on capturing the beauty of the Jersey Shore and local wildlife.  He was a hardworking, highly skilled tile worker and respected member of the BAC Local #7 of NY & NJ.  In his free time, he enjoyed gardening, fishing, and cooking.  He was the type of man you could always count on to be there for you.  He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.  He is survived by his parents, siblings, girlfriend, and extended family.

A memorial celebration of life will take place on August 7, 2021 from 1 to 5pm at the Ridgeway Firehouse Banquet Hall, 2848 Ridgeway Rd, Manchester Township, NJ 08759. A prayer service is scheduled for 1pm.
