Linda S. Dortch, 76, of Beachwood passed away on May 8, 2026. Born in Waterbury, Connecticut, she lived many years in Jersey City, New Jersey, Texas  and North Carolina before settling to Beachwood, New Jersey.  Linda proudly served her country in the US Navy as a Hospital Corpsman.  She later went on to have a long rewarding career in Nursing.  She enjoyed spending her time crocheting and she loved her cats. 

Linda is predeceased by her parents Floyd and Barbara Hamm, her brother Robert Hamm and her son Joseph E. Giddings IV.  Surviving is her sister Carol Mahler, her daughter Danielle Smith, her niece Donna Antonowicz and her husband Joe, her great nieces Lily, Missy and Mary and her two grandsons Sheldon and Ewan. 

A Memorial Gathering for family and friends will be held on Monday, May 18, 2026 from 10am – 12pm at Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd. Bayville, NJ 08721. Burial of her ashes will immediately follow at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown at 1:30pm.
