Lillian Eitzen Obituary

Lillian (Gruetzmann) Eitzen was born 6/27/1939 in Ducherow, Germany. At the age of 7 her family escaped the Russian invasion of their village. Her family made their way to the docks at Bremerhaven. Lillian, along with her mother and sisters, made the journey to New York and arrived at Ellis Island. They went with family members and settled in Northeast Philadelphia. She met Bob at a church dance when she was 12 and by 17, they were married. The following year Bobby was born, the next year Anita, and 4 years later Diane was born. She spent many years working for First National Bank and was a devoted member of Holy Cross Luteran Church. Lillian was an awesome Mother, the best Gran and Great-Granny. She was fiercely protective of her family, yet she was the kindest person you would have the pleasure of meeting. She was a woman of great strength and unwavering faith in the Lord. Although there was one rule, you do not
mess with her chickens.

She is survived by all her chickens, her daughters Anita and Diane along with their husbands, Biff and Mike. Her grandchildren, Robert and Kenny Eitzen with their spouses Lauren and Taylor, Sarah Collette and her husband Darryl. Zachary Strain and his spouse Morgan. Ryan and Matthew Jones as well as their wives, Jessica and Jamie. She is also survived by her 5 Great-Grandchildren, Jackson Eitzen, Reed Strain, Amelia Eitzen, Joey Jones, Rylynn Janelli-Jones and countless other family and friends.

She is pre-deceased by her Husband Henry (Bob) R. Eitzen Jr and her son Henry (Bobby) R. Eitzen III as well as her parents, brother, 2 sisters and their spouses.
