Kevin L. Lees, 70, of Bayville, died peacefully at home, with his loving family at his side, on February 24, 2024. Born in Newark, he was raised in North Jersey and has been a resident of Bayville for many years. Mr. Lees was in construction and was an accomplished drummer musician. He was employed for many years with Home Depot as a Pro Deck Construction designer retiring from the Brick Store location. During the 911 tragedy, Mr. Lees was responsible for clearing the area at “Ground Zero” to set up President Bush’s podium for his address to the Nation and was the one who shouted, “we can’t hear you”.
Surviving are his wife Patricia and his son Vincent, and his sisters and brothers-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Gathering will be offered for family and friends to attend on Saturday, March 2nd from 3pm to 5pm with a Prayer Service at 4:30pm, in the Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville. In lieu of flowers, donations in Kevin’s memory to: The American Diabetes Association (diabetes.org), would be appreciated.
