Kerry A. Furey

Kerry Furey, age 67, of Barnegat NJ, peacefully passed away and went home to the angels above on August 29th, 2024. Born in Hoboken NJ, she lived for over 30 years in Beachwood, NJ before moving to Barnegat, NJ three years ago. Kerry worked as an LPN for over 40 years and was extremely compassionate and a champion in advocating for her nurses and aides. 

Kerry was well respected by this community and nursing remained her passion far after her retirement. Kerry will be forever remembered for her kindness, compassion, and a larger-than-life smile. Heaven’s doors were waiting with a cup of her Dunkin Donuts coffee and a scratch off ticket to let her in. She will never be forgotten and will be remembered by many families and friends. 

Mrs. Furey was predeceased by her husband, Eugene Furey and also by her partner of thirty years, Larry Donato. Surviving is her daughter, Megan Furey of Barnegat, NJ, her sister's, Kathy Hoffman of Bayville, NJ, sister Cecilia Meyer of Lake Placid, NY, and her brother Charles Drumm of Leland, NC. She is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

A Memorial Service will be Wednesday, September 4th, 2024, from 9:00-11:00am at Mastapeter Memorial Home 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville, NJ followed by a Memorial Mass at St. Barnabas Church, at 11:00am, 33 Woodland Rd, Bayville.
