Kathleen M. Wright, 80, of Toms River passed away peacefully on December 24, 2025. Born in Teaneck, NJ and grew up in Leonia, a daughter of the late John and Mary Moltzen. Kathleen married and raised two children in Ridgefield Park before moving to Newark Delaware for 10 years, and retiring to Bayville in 2003.
Kathleen enjoyed reading, needle work and crocheting; often donating books, and making mittens and blankets for needy children and hospital patients. She supported many causes, mostly concerning food insecurity, animal shelters, and childhood cancer. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Francis in Ridgefield Park and now St. Barnabas Church. She enjoyed going to car shows and spending time with her friends in the Sentimental Cruisers car club. She was devoted to her family, especially to her grandchildren. She will be remembered most for her endearing handwritten notes, cards, and letters she would send to friends and family just to let you know she was thinking of you. She will be greatly missed.
Kathleen is survived and dearly missed by her husband Alfred of 56 years, two children Michael Wright and partner Jennifer Dziurzynski, and Susan Wright and her husband Roy, two grandchildren Justin and Taylor, and her companion Max, one great granddaughter Ellie, her sister Mary Keane and husband Robert, as well as 18 nieces and nephews.
In lieu of the flowers please make donations in Kathleen’s memory to the New Jersey Humane Society. https://www.newjerseyhumanesociety.org
