Karen Cheer-Purdy, 54 of Bayville, went home to her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 16th, 2025. Karen was born in Pequannock and was raised in Kinnelon. She lived in Pt. Pleasant before moving to Bayville 7 years ago. Karen was creative and gifted in Art and Music. She wrote many music lyrics for various bands and musicians. She loved enjoying the ocean waves and sitting on the beach. Mrs. Cheer-Purdy was employed in the Insurance industry for Prudential and other insurance companies.
Surviving is her beloved husband Michael, her son James McClinton; her parents, Arthur and Edna as well as her sister Valerie, along with many friends.
Visiting hours will be offered on Wednesday, July 23rd, from 5pm to 8pm, with a Prayer Service at 7:30pm, at the Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville. Funeral Thursday, 9am in the funeral home before leaving at 9:30am for the burial at Greenwood Cemetery, 500 25th St, Brooklyn, NY 11232-1755 with an arrival time of 11:30am.
