Josephine DeMaio

Josephine DeMaio, 92, of Whiting passed away on November 15, 2022.  Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, she also lived in St. Petersburg Beach and West Palm Beach, FL. before settling to Whiting.  Mrs. DeMaio was employed with New York Telephone and with New York Life Insurance Company, both of New York.  She was a devoted parishioner of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Whiting.  Josephine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. 

Josephine was predeceased by her husband John DeMaio in 1993.  Surviving are her 2 sons, John DeMaio and his wife Lizabeth, and Joseph DeMaio and his wife Wendy and her 5 grandchildren, Eric, Gregory, Kevin, Christopher and Katherine.

A viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday, November 18, 2022 from 8:00am – 8:30am at Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd, Bayville, NJ 08721 before leaving to celebrate a 9:00am funeral mass at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in Whiting.  Burial will follow to Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn, NY.
