Joseph V. Mockapetris, 87, of Beachwood, NJ passed away on August 18, 2021. Born in Kulpmont, PA, he resided in Beachwood, NJ for almost 50 years and was an admired member of the community. Mr. Mockapetris was a Vietnam veteran who proudly served his country for 20 years in the US Navy before retiring. He later went on to work for Defense Logistics Agency in Springfield, NJ as a Quality Insurance Inspector. He also served 30 years on the Beachwood Volunteer Fire Department Station #16 and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #8603 of St. Barnabas achieving the 3rd Order of Knight status. He lived a full life, contributing much more to the world than he ever asked from it in return. He was devoutly religious and was fully prepared for his next phase, looking forward with certainty to being reunited with the loved ones he lost during his life.
Joseph is predeceased by his wife Roxane and his sister Linda Greene. Surviving are his children Colleen McDaniel and her husband Steven and Lisa Hubbard and her husband David and Joseph Mockapetris and his wife Lisa; his 5 grandchildren Jason, Heather, Rachel, Jessica and Benjamin; his great grandson Logan and his siter Karen Delenzenski.
A viewing will be held on Monday, August 23, 2021 from 2pm – 4pm & 7pm - 9pm at Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd. Bayville, NJ 08721. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 24 at Saint Barnabas Church, 33 Woodland Rd. Bayville, NJ 08721 at 11am.
