Joseph Ochojski Obituary

In Loving Memory of Joseph Ochojski

June 2, 1944 – July 31, 2025

Joseph Ochojski, 81, of Bayville, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at his home on July 31, 2025, surrounded by love.

Born in Poland, Joseph immigrated to the United States in 1964 in search of a better life. It was here that he met the love of his life, Diane, and the two began a beautiful journey together, marked by 57 years of marriage, unwavering devotion, and a family that became the heart of everything Joseph cherished.

Joseph and Diane first made their home in the Bronx, New York, later settling in Fairfield, NJ, where they raised their children and built a life filled with hard work, laughter, and family traditions. After retiring, they fulfilled a lifelong dream by building their home in Bayville in 2005, where Joseph enjoyed his golden years near the water, with Diane by his side.

A devoted husband, proud father, and adoring grandfather, Joseph’s greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his beloved wife Diane; his three children: Michelle Soranno and her husband Joe, Greg Ochojski and his wife Brooke, and Eric Ochojski and his wife Kim; and ten treasured grandchildren, Nick, Justin, Alex, Isaac, Tyler, Aidan, Noah, Isabella, Andrew and Mason, who were the light of his life.

Joseph dedicated over 40 years of his career to American Specialties, Inc. in Yonkers, NY. He began as a machinist and, through determination and skill, rose to the role of Director of Manufacturing. His strong work ethic, leadership, and quiet wisdom left a lasting impact on all who worked alongside him.

To honor Joseph’s life and legacy, the family will be hosting a Celebration of Life on Sunday, August 10, 2025, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at 18th Amendment, Rutherford, NJ. Friends and loved ones are warmly invited to join in remembrance and celebration.

Joseph will be remembered for his strength, generosity, and deep love for his family and of course his sense of humor. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
