Joseph P Morrello

Joseph P. Morrello, Jr., 81, of Bayville, NJ passed away at home on Saturday March 11th, 2023, after valiantly fighting his battle with cancer. He was born and raised in Newark, NJ where he eventually became a Newark Firefighter for 39 years. He also joined the Army reserves and served for six years. He loved playing the drums for his band The Bachelors Five when he was young, and he always was known for making people laugh with his jokes.

He is predeceased by his mother Mary (Meola) and his father Joseph Sr., his sister Madeline and brother Michael.

He is survived by his beloved wife Bonnie, of 55 years, his daughter Jaclyn, of Charleston, SC, his son Joseph III, and daughter-in-law Toni, his grandchildren Joseph IV, Anthony, and Leia of Avenel, NJ. His other son Christopher and grandson Christopher of Parlin, NJ. His sisters Rose Martin, Marion McTigue and his brother Nicholas and sister-in-law Marianne.

There will be a memorial service at Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd, Bayville, NJ on Thursday March 16th from 6-8pm. Funeral mass will be held at St. Barnabas Catholic Church, 33 Woodland Rd, Bayville, NJ on Friday March 17th at 11am.
