John "Jack" Castellano, 81, of Bayville, died December 31, 2025, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in New York City and was raised in Teaneck. He lived many years in Bogota before moving to Bayville in 2002. Mr. Castellano was a self-employed electrical engineer and operated his own business as well as working for various other companies. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force serving during the Vietnam War era. Jack was a member and past Governor of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 961 of Teaneck. He also was a car enthusiast and member of the Sentimental Cruisers Car Club, winning trophies for his show cars. He enjoyed gadgets, working on his computer, watching the Yankees, listening to his 50s records, DJing and his trips to Atlantic City. Mr. Castellano was predeceased by his parents John and Lucy, by his sister and brother-in-law Rosemary and Tommy Walker, and his in-laws Rose and Vincent Gariano.
Surviving is his devoted wife of 55 years, RoseAnn, two daughters Gina Jacoby and her husband Edward and Deborah Jacobus and her husband Justin. Also surviving are his grandchildren Alyssa, Hunter, Eddie and Brooke, his nephews Michael and David Walker, his great niece Emily Walker, his godson Vincent Carnevale, many cousins and dear friends.
Visiting hours for relatives and friends will be offered on Sunday, Jan. 4th, from 12noon to 4pm, with a Prayer Service at 3pm, in the Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville. Funeral Monday, 9:30am at the funeral home, leaving 10:30am for the entombment at Ocean County Memorial Park Mausoleum in Waretown. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jack's memory to: Juvenile Diabetes Foundation Association (www.diabetes.org) and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (www.donate.nationalmssociety.org) would be appreciated.
