John Warchol Jr., 72, of Bayville, NJ, passed away suddenly on Sunday, June 7, 2026. Born in New York City and raised in the South Bronx, he lived in Linden before moving to Bayville in 1989. John worked at General Motors on the assembly line in Linden for 15 years. He then became a letter carrier with the U.S. Postal Service in Union, transferring to Bayville in 1998. He retired with 31 years of service in 2020. John was an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman, and was a devoted Yankees fan. His true passion in life was his family, especially his four grandchildren.
Surviving is his beloved wife of 40 years, Michaeleann; two devoted daughters, Michele Herman and her husband, Michael, and Christina Palmieri and her husband, Vincent; and four cherished grandchildren; Michael, Valentina, Vincent, and Jack. He is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.
Visiting hours for family and friends will be held on Thursday, June 11 from 4:00-8:00pm with a Prayer Service at 7:00pm at Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville, NJ 08721. Funeral will be held Friday, June 12 at 9:00am at the Funeral Home before leaving at 10:00am to Fairview Cemetery in Westfield.
