John DeBuduo was born in Bari, Italy in 1946, coming over to Brooklyn, NY at 3 years old with his mother Maria DiLuzio. He was a loving son to Frank Cappelluti and a loving brother to Frank Cappelluti Jr. John graduated from high school and was drafted to the U.S. Army before being sent home due to illness. Despite these obstacles John decided to enlist in the United States Marine Corps with a couple of his buddies at a very young age, serving and protecting in the Vietnam War. John served two terms, making rank of Gunner Sergeant. John was the father of 4 daughters Marie, Denise, Jessica, and Aurora. Throughout his early life post military, John worked for local 831 Sanitation in Staten Island, NY. John retired early and met his wife Diane who he has been married to for 30 years.
They had a son John who they raised in Beachwood, NJ. John strived to be a devoted and loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend to all those in his life throughout the years. John also has a family tree with 12 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 2 nephews. John was always a person to give perfect advice, set standards as a role model, put anybody first over himself, and gave his unconditional love to all of those in his life. John DeBuduo was a great man who always shined a light on those in his presence.
Visitation will be held for family and friends on Saturday, December 20, 2025 from 2:00-5:00pm with a Prayer Service at 3:00pm at Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City Blvd., Bayville, NJ. Burial will be Wednesday December 24, 2025 at 11:00am at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Vet. Cemetery, 350 Province Line Rd., Wrightstown, NJ with Honors to follow.
