John Edward Carrington passed away unexpectedly on May 17, 2026. John was born in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ and raised in Ocean County for the majority of his life. He was a sports enthusiast and a die-hard Giants and Yankees fan. He played football and track while enrolled at Toms River High School East, graduating in 1995. After graduation, John enlisted in the US Army with a passion to serve his Country.

John worked as a supervisor for 84 Lumber in both Manahawkin and Lakewood as well as Regional Vice President for Construction Services at Pro Build Lumber Supply in Lakewood. John spent his final years enjoying life on his 10-acre mountain retreat in Vermont. There he had many close friends who will miss him. Anyone who knew John knew what a clown he was at heart. He and all his shenanigans will truly be missed by all.

John is predeceased by his mother Linda Carrington, his sister Lynn Manna, as well as his paternal and maternal grandparents. Surviving to cherish his memory are his son’s John Carrington, and Aidan Carrington, his father John Carrington, also the love of his life, Krista Bruninghaus, his sisters Lisa Tuch, Darlene Tuch, and Terri Carrington, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Relatives and Friends are kindly invited to attend the Interment and a Committal Service on August 20, 2026, in the Chapel, at 11:00am at Brig. General W.C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery 350 Province Line Rd., Wrightstown, NJ 08562.
