Joanne C. Mariconda

Joanne C Mariconda passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on February 17th 2026.

Joanne was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Catherine Kenny, who surely met her in Heaven with a cup of tea.

Born in Brooklyn NY  she spent her childhood growing up with a large extended family. She graduated from Kings County School of Nursing in 1966, where she made many lifelong friends.  She moved to Lakewood, NJ in 1972, where she raised her family and began working at the Ocean County Health Department until her retirement.

Joanne was a devoted mother and loving grandmother. She is survived by her three children, Patti Mariconda, John Mariconda (Christine) and Eddie Mariconda. Also her three grandchildren, John, Eddie, and Emily.  She was Mom, Flo-Jo, Grandma, and G-Ma.

Joanne loved to travel, see Broadway shows, and gamble in Atlantic City. Anyone who knew Joanne knows how much she loved everything about Disney. Countless family vacations were spent in the parks. Mostly she enjoyed doing anything that involved being with her family. Vacations and Sunday family dinner were her favorites. She was always out and about and enjoying her retirement with her best friend Elaine.

Those who loved her will remember her strength, fierce love for her family and friends, her lingering Brooklyn accent, and her ability to drop curse words whenever she saw fit.

Her greatest accomplishment is the family she built and not a day will go by that she will not be missed by them. All of the beautiful, and hilarious memories of her will forever be in our hearts.
