Joan R. Englebrook

Joan R. Englebrook, 89, of Bayville, passed away on April 24, 2026. Born in New York City and raised in East Rutherford, NJ. Joan raised her family in Edison and moved to Ocean County in the eighties before settling to Bayville 25 years ago.  

Joan graduated from nursing school at Middlesex County College in New Brunswick and was a practicing Registered nurse. She was first employed at Deborah Heart and Lung Center Specialized Hospital in Browns Mills with 25 years of service there. She then provided her nursing skills for many years at St. Barnabas Church in Bayville where she offered her nursing care to the needy of the community.   

She enjoyed her activities socializing with friends at her community club house. She also volunteered preparing and distributing food baskets through St. Vincent DePaul Society at St. Barnabas Church.  

Surviving are her two daughters Laura Englebrook and Cheryl Powell and her husband Bernard, four grandchildren, Richard, Reise, Jessica, and Chance, and one great grandson Jason.  

Visiting hours for family and friends will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 1:00-3:00pm with a Prayer Service at 2:30pm Mastapeter Memorial Home, 270 Atlantic City, Bayville, NJ 08721.
